Olivet According to a source on campus, the Nazarene University Food Services came dangerously close to running out of food this past Sunday when twice as many team members showed up for meals on a day off than they normally would have. Although there was sufficient food for everyone, the team from ONU had to work harder than usual because there was a shortage of food.
When the players were younger, they might have just stayed in their rooms or gone out to eat. It seems that Marc Trestman’s mantra that “we’re a family first” has connected with the majority of the team, including stars like Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, and Julius Peppers, amongst others.
There are some players on the periphery of the team, such as Isaiah Frey, who stand to gain from the misfortunes that befall other players in camp. As the nickel back for the past two days while Kelvin Hayden was sidelined with a hamstring injury, Frey recorded his third interception of that span.
Leonard Pope was the first tight end to practice with the first team after he joined the team for the second time on Tuesday. This was Pope’s second time practicing with the first team since he joined the squad. The position of No. 2 Tight End is open for competition.
